Installing a router
To provide power to the router:
Connect the power adaptor to the receptor on the back panel of the router.
Plug the other end of the power adapter into a wall outlet or power strip.
Verify that the Power LED is lit solid green.
To connect the router to the computer:
Connect the Ethernet cable to the DSL Modem provided by Widomaker. This will be labeled Ethernet.
Connect the other end of this Ethernet cable to the WAN/INTERNET port on the back panel of the router.
Verify that the WAN LED light is lit solid green.
Connect a second Ethernet cable into LAN port 1 on the back panel of the router.
Connect the other end of this Ethernet cable into an available Ethernet port on the network adapter card in the computer you are using to configure the D-Link router.
Verify that the LAN 1 LED light is lit solid green.
